The month’s target
Goldbeater paces your month before you set anything.
Google knows each campaign’s budget and never what you agreed to spend, so Goldbeater starts from last month’s spend and takes your own figure whenever you give it.

Questions
What to know about pacing your Google Ads budget.
What is budget pacing in Google Ads?
Budget pacing is how your spend so far compares with what you planned to have spent by now. Google Ads paces each campaign against its average daily budget: it may spend up to twice that on a busy day, and never more than 30.4 times it in a month. Pacing your whole account against a monthly figure is left to you, and that is the part Goldbeater does.
How does Goldbeater project the month?
It adds what your account spent from the 1st to yesterday to the days left at the average of the last seven days. Then it works out how far the month could land from that by chance, from how much your daily spend varied over the last 14 days. It raises a finding when your target is further away than that and than 5% of the target, or once the month has passed it.
Do I have to set a monthly target first?
No. Until you set one, Goldbeater judges each month against what your account spent the month before, and raises a finding only when the month is heading further from it than your months usually differ from one to the next. Set your own target in your account's Settings whenever you have one, and the checks judge the month against that instead. You can also turn it off.
Does Goldbeater change my budgets by itself?
No. Where a campaign has earned more budget, Goldbeater drafts the new daily budget into your change set, and nothing changes in Google Ads until you approve it and press Apply. It never pauses a campaign or cuts a budget to hold a month to its target.
Is it PPC budget management for an agency's clients?
Yes, for their Google Ads. Each client's account is paced against its own figure, the target you set on it or its own last month until you do, and the Pacing drawer lists every campaign's spend against its own daily budget.
What if my account pays by monthly invoice?
Goldbeater watches your account budget too. You're emailed when its spending limit would run out within a week at the last seven days' spend, or when it ends within a week with no budget approved to follow it.
Is budget pacing on every plan?
Yes. Every plan runs all 163 checks and the dashboard, and so does the 7-day trial.
