  • Choose TrueClicks if you oversee many Google Ads or Microsoft Ads accounts and want each one scored against 100+ recommended practices, with errors flagged daily: it's free up to $50,000 a month of spend.
  • Choose Goldbeater if you run your own Google Ads and want an estimate of what its problems cost you where that can be measured, an agent that investigates each one, and the changes drafted for you to approve and apply.

When to choose TrueClicks

  • It's free up to $50,000 a month of spend, as long as everyone using it shares one email domain. Goldbeater is $249 a month at that spend.
  • It costs less further up too: $349 a month at $250,000 of spend and $899 at $1,000,000, against Goldbeater's $649 and $1,290, with unlimited accounts and users on every plan.
  • It covers Microsoft Ads as well as Google Ads.
  • It's built for watching a whole book of accounts: one dashboard across them, a score for each account and each person, and recommendations you can hand to a colleague as tasks. That suits a team lead holding several specialists to one standard.
  • Its auto-apply tasks keep campaign settings, negative keyword lists and placement exclusions consistent every day, and can dismiss Google recommendations you've already ruled out. Goldbeater has nothing that acts on its own.
  • Its paid plans start with a 30-day free trial, against Goldbeater's 7 days.
02

When to choose Goldbeater

  • It reads the account you run in depth rather than scoring many against a list: the checks find where money is going, and an agent follows up on each finding the way an analyst would, showing every query it ran.
  • Where a problem costs money, the finding carries an estimate of how much a month, worked out from your own account's data, so the order you fix things in follows the money.
  • Each change is drafted into a change set with the value before and after. You approve each one and press Apply, and because Goldbeater writes the undo before it sends anything, an applied change can be undone.

How the two approaches differ

TrueClicks starts from a standard. It checks every account against 100+ best practices, scores it, and ranks what falls short by impact and effort, across as many accounts and people as you have. It works as a quality-assurance system: it tells a team lead which accounts need attention, and makes the common fixes quick.

Goldbeater starts from one account's money. Its checks look for where spend is being lost, an agent works out why, and the review ends with changes drafted for the person who runs the account. It's built for depth on the accounts you run yourself, rather than coverage of a whole book.

Both now have an AI assistant that works on live account data and shows its reasoning. TrueClicks's draws on its own methodology, lets you pick a Claude or Gemini model for each prompt, and includes 100 AI credits a month for each account. Goldbeater's agent runs as part of every weekly review, whether or not anyone asks it a question.

04

Using both, or switching

An agency can keep TrueClicks watching the whole book and use Goldbeater on the accounts that need an analyst's attention. Both work through the ad platforms' own access, with your permission. If both can change the same account, decide which one owns negatives and exclusions, so TrueClicks's daily auto-apply and a Goldbeater change set don't work against each other.

Questions

Is TrueClicks really free? Up to $50,000 a month of spend, with every user on the same email domain, self-serve onboarding, and chat and email support within two business days. Above that, plans start at $249 a month for $100,000 of spend.

Does TrueClicks change my account automatically? Only through auto-apply tasks you set up for an account; set to preview, the same tasks only warn you. Otherwise you apply its fixes yourself, from its Fix button or through a link into the ad platform.

How does TrueClicks count spend? It puts you on the plan nearest your actual monthly spend: its $100K plan covers up to $150,000, for example. The free plan stops at $50,000.
